Ayako and I went to Sunagawa with Chiaki to visit the ancestral tomb of the Kamada family.
It was a beautiful, sunny day. Ayako and I went to Sunagawa, which was Ayako's hometown, and I,myself had lived there for eight years with Ayako's mother after our marriage. We drove along the expressway to Sapporo, and dropped at our daughter Chiaki's house. Chiaki is a dietician but she had no work today. She was free until 3:00 p.m. when her two primary school boys would come home,so she wanted to go to Sunagawa with us. Chiaki drove my car,and again took the expressway to Sunagawa. In Sunagawa,we bought some flowers at a supermarket, and went the cemetery. We first pulled out the weeds around the tomb, and then, cleaned the tombstone, put flowers, lit a candle, and burned incense sticks.
