When someone in the neighborhood died,I must sometimes serve as the chief of the funeral care-takers.Yesterday,an 89-year-old lady, named Mrs.Kinu Sekiya, died, and the funeral will take place tomorrow and the day after tomorrow.Tomorrow evening, from 6:30 pm. the wake will be held, and the funeral ceremony from 10:00a.m.the day after tomorrow.I am now writing the draft of the speech I will make at the end of each ceremony, but it is not easy to write about an unknown person, though I was given some materials.
The situation with the troubled nuclear reactors in Fukushima seems to be getting better, but still it is not safe, and water is being discharged with water cannons to cool them down. Thousands of people living within 30 km from the nuclear power plant are evacuating to other prefectures by the government order. The spinach and milk produced in Fukushima are reported to be contaminated with radiation.
